thedatabank Launches New Website!
thedatabank is excited to annouce the launch of our brand new website. In addition to updated, feature-rich product information pages, the site contains a new section especially for current clients. From the "For Clients" page, clients can log in to their Databank, see recent product upgrades, video tutorials, and other helpful resources.
thedatabank's CEO, Chris Hanson says, “We are thrilled to launch our new website. Our hope is that the site makes it easy for organizations to find out how thedatabank might help them succeed and be a useful resource for our clients. Special thanks to our friends at Webaloo for their design work and to our Marketing Coordinator, Melissa Imboden, who made it all happen. If you have any questions or comments about the new site please let us know.”
Changes to Fundraising Software Module Training
We have re-structured our future Fundraising Software Module trainings. We formerly had two sessions (Basic and Advanced). Because there is so much information to cover in those two sessions, we have decided to break them down into four half-hour long sessions.
- Fundraising Module Basic Training
- Fundraising Module Credit Card and EFT Training
- Fundraising Module Reports Training
- Fundraising Module Pledges and Recurring Gifts Training
Please see our training calendar to register for these upcoming sessions.

Tip du Jour
Trick for sharing a video in a PowerMail
Many clients have asked about embedding a video into a PowerMail message and while it is possible to do, it's likely that many of your recipients are using email programs that won't show videos, so all they will see is a bunch of HTML code.
The good news is there is a way around this that is almost as good as embedding. Create a screen shot image of what looks like the video player, but is really just an image that links to the video. Use the Image Properties window to create the image link.

Your New Databank Home Page
A couple months ago, on a sunny afternoon in Stillwater, MN, Melissa and I shared a chocolate malt and congratulated ourselves on being almost finished with our new website. Little did we know how much editing and troubleshooting was in store for us.
It's finally done!
Databank clients have a new page with links to everything you need: your login, announcements, training and resources.
We are also featuring client testimonials and success stories throughout the new site. We believe your stories are the best evidence that the Databank is a good investment. If you have a Databank success to share, let us know and we'll be glad to feature you and your organization.
I hope you enjoy the new site!
Karen
P.S. Special thanks to the folks at Webaloo for the new design and content managment system.
